Good news, it’s working as it should! The formula dispenses rapidly (within 24 hours) to establish a protective barrier immediately. Once the pod is empty, the protection will last up to 90 days.
This is a bummer. FROG 90-Day Algae Barrier is a preventative aid that helps prevent algae, but it cannot do it alone. If your chlorine drops to zero or your pH gets out of balance, algae can still grow. Balance your pool and try again.
No. FROG 90-Day Algae Barrier is a preventative. If you currently have an algae bloom (sorry), use FROG Algae Gone to cure it first. Once clear, use FROG 90-Day Algae Barrier to keep it that way.
For larger pools (over 15,000 gallons), a single dose may be too diluted to provide full 90-day protection. We recommend using 2 pods to ensure the concentration is strong enough to protect the volume of water against algae.
